Join Us Celebrating Rob’s Life

A legacy is defined as:

Something handed down from an ancestor or a predecessor or from the past.

We all live with legacies in our lives; some are good, some are bad. Some we want to forget, and others we will never forget. Legacies shape us.

I know so many of you would love to be here personally. I wish you could too. So, for those who have been shaped by Rob, please join us this Wednesday, June 23, 11 am as we celebrate his life by clicking the link below.

We can now officially announce our plans for the living memorial that will continue to honor Rob’s legacy.

We will be building The Rob Carman Nurses Quarters. It will be in Fore’, located in the Eastern Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea. These 8 bed living quarters will provide a much-needed facility to house the nurses who serve there. This will enable them to be in one place instead of outside the area, allowing them to meet the hospital’s needs much faster. Victory World Missions has provided yearly funding for the hospitals’ operations, so this will be another facet. The completion date is scheduled for December of this year.

We will be sharing plans and pictures so you will be able to will follow the progress.

I hope you will join our family and be a part of this living memorial.

Again, we thank many of you who have sent cards and texts and posted them on our website. In the words of Rob spoken so many times,

You’re God’s Best!

Pastor Rob will always be cherished and missed. The preaching was what always challenged me after rededicating my life in 1992 as I began going to VLF. He always preached about fighting the good fight and finishing the race. Well that’s what he did. Now he is celebrating in Heaven. Rest In Peace Pastor Rob Carman.

  2. Heaven now has a very dynamic, passionate and one of a kind addition! There is no one like Rob Carmen. There is no way to narrow it down to 1 or 2 ways Rob has impacted my life. Every sermon and every conversation with him always made me better.
The effect of Robs life will continue to ripple throughout this world and his words will always encourage and energize! And I hope all of us will always feel the gentle power of his “hand slaps” on our chests as he urges us on…”Are you ready!? Are you ready for this!?”
You are a life changer Rob Carmen, and I believe with all of my heart that you were welcomed by our Great God with the words..”well done good and faithful servant!”

  3. What an honor to have been taught by such a man with a passion for souls. I was 13 (1983) at the time my mom and I began attending VLF. The Holy Spirit knew I needed a Godly mentor as I was going into turbulent teen years. Thank you Ginger for being the strong support and behind the scenes warrior for our then (and still) Pastor. I am thankful to have been placed in such a church that I STILL, to this day, attend with my husband and children. He truly left a “LEGACY” here in Albuquerque, NM. I will always refer to him as my spiritual papa (I got more correction because of my tardiness during Bible College at Vicory Bible School of Ministry🙂) He will be missed. “Our Vision is the World our Passion is Souls” will forever be etched in my heart and he indeed carried out the purpose for his life. WELL DONE THY GOOD and FAITHFUL SERVANT 👏 WELL DONE.

Pastor Rob is and always will be one of the best Preachers of all times. He had such a special anointing gift of God. He affected many lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico and around the world. Ginger you too are a big part of it. He made a difference in me and my family’s life. As Pastor Rob would say at the beginning of his preaching, wave your bible and make the devil mad. The other statement he would say, would you like to hear the rest of the story. Well…his rest of the story will continue for generations. We hope his preaching videos will be archived for all to see. My husband and I enjoying his videos for spiritual nourishment. He will be greatly missed!

Rob was a man’s man! He was a no nonsense, “get-er-done” kind of guy. Men loved that! Young people loved that! I suspect everyone who knew Rob loved that about him.
He always encouraged us to be all that God called us to be. Whenever I was around him I received renewed strength and vision to run my race. I wanted to be more, do more, and accomplish more! That was Rob’s gift. He may be the greatest encourager I have ever known. Whenever I saw Rob after being away from Him for any length of time, he would greet me in his strong, lumberjack style voice, “Riiiick!” This was not just my name (Rick), it was a challenge to be strong and courageous and fulfill God’s plan for my life.
For all of us that have received so much from Rob’s life and ministry, it is now time for us to deposit into the lives of others what God has planted in us through Rob.
Rob will be greatly missed. There is no one exactly like him. But I know what he would say if he was here now, “Carryon! Move forward! Don’t retreat! Continue to take ground for the Kingdom of God!”

Pastor Rob taught me so much at VLF. VLF will always be my favorite church. He was a great man of God and I will forever love him for his great preaching and teaching. RIP Pastor Rob, you are God’s Best.

  7. He created vigor and fire into my soul many years ago as a young Bible student at Texas Bible Institute in Columbus Tx. He would come and a rumble with start around campus if young men running to chapel just to sit on the front row to become glued to Dr Rob’s every word and hopefully get punched in the chest at the climax of one of His stories. He was a mans man, a fathers father, a master of storytelling and a globetrotter.Once he connected with CMN a ministry a had been also connected with since my youth,He was like the square peg in the square hole..A PERFECT FIT! You have finished your race Sir. Could you imagine Dr Rob swapping stories with the Apostle Paul? Pure Epic!

  8. Hello,

He was a Godly man, and we are so thankful with God because he gave us the opportunity to know him and learned with him.
    He left a wonderful legacy.

  9. In 1999 when my son Jonis was 2 years old he met and was prayed over by Dr. Rob Carman. I was eighteen and the only single parent at Texas Bible Institute. There wasn’t any rules for teen parents since I was the only one there, so I just applied, got accepted and took my son with me to many classes when he didn’t want to go to daycare and I took him to all the retreats. He enjoyed picking fancy ties for “Men’s” Advances. He looked forward to talking to the preachers…

For the seven years that we lived in Columbus, TX every Summit and Men’s Advance I would dress mijo up and instead of attend PK’s Club he would be in the services with me under the annointing of Dr. Rob Carman, Tommy Burchfield, Dean Hawk, Phillip Baker, Mike Murdock, Charles Neimann, Tommy Barnett and even the great T.L. Osborne. One time even Joel Osteen’s mom went over out of her way to talk to little Jonis and she prayed over him too..

I was a teen and single mother willing to do anything to live by faith and keep my son under the leadership of the greats. Everyone knows these preachers and world missionaries now, but I was 20 years ahead of the game investing in my son’s life, for such a time as this. I didn’t have a college education, a reliable car or a positive bank account. But I had my bible and my passion for everything the book of Romans, Ephesians, Acts and Philippians said…(I only had that much bible knowledge at the time)…

I was always in “if I can just get my little toddler to touch their cloak-mode”. And mijo did more than that!! Jonis won their hearts and they would shake his hand, let him be up in the front row with them and they would pray over him. I would watch, respectfully from the back left corner of one of the side aisles. Some of the greats never even knew who the little boy belonged to but they would love on him throughout service. I will never forget those moments.

***Sidenote: I have always been a “it’s easier to get forgiveness than permission” kinda gal and this was the case at country camp and the favor God has always given me and my son.

Pastor Rob often told a story of a young 13 year old mother who trusted God and lived by faith. Her son became the greatest neurologist in the world. He also always told us to always take our children on dates and on adventures…

He is the reason I would take my son on dates and teach him how to be a gentleman. He is the reason we are river rats and have done some adventures we will never post about lol..
He is the reason I never shy down. He is the reason the microphone falls easy in the palm of my hand and in the palm of my son’s hand. His boldness is what I learned most the 22 years he was our family hero.

Pastor Rob is known to get so passionate when he preaches he slaps men on the chest…my son was always to little to be slapped😆😆…until right before he moved to N.A.S. Pensacola. Dr. Rob happened to be in town at our church and when he saw us, he knew us right away. And as soon as he heard Jonis was about to commission as an Officer in the world’s greatest Air Force he just started slapping his chest! ✋✋✋✋✋😆😆😆😆.
God answers prayers even if some take 20 years lol…it was all I hoped for when my son was two years old.

I never knew this would be the last time we would see Pastor Rob though. ..And he also prayed over Jonis, just like the good ol’ days. Except this time not for a little boy but for a man. I will never forget the power in his words over my son’s life.

The story of the young mom is one of manynI hold dear to me. It is why I never gave up and never stopped trusting God as a young mother.

My son is not a neurologist; he has a different life path but at the young age of 21 he became an aviator and 2nd Lieutenant. Pastor Rob talks about Warriors. My son is a Warrior. Pastor Rob is a Warrior.

I hope our story can be a blessing like the stories I learned from Pastor Rob.

I am the resilient mother I am; because of God using Pastor Rob to lead by example.

My prayer is to continue to be loud and bold all the days of my life. And to hopefully share this so his family can have another story to add to their collection.

Ginger we love you. We are here if yall need anything.

Dr. Carman thank you for loving my son.

Mrs. Ginger , Filbert and I send our love to you and the family from Albuquerque. We were reminiscing on our VLF days! The VLF softball team and how Pastor Rob would punch the shoulder of any man sitting in the front row while preaching. So Funny! Filbert was one of them. And how you guys trusted us with Amy to bring her home safely after the softball games. I could go on and on about the good times at VLF. We are a living testimony of the godly influence Pastor Rob and you had in our lives. Twenty two years later Filbert is now pastoring , I teach the Word to the ladies in the church, our daughter Selah plays the guitar in church and our son Symeon controls the soundboard. God is so good! Pastor Rob raised up stronger leaders than he could ever imagine! We are forever grateful for you, Mrs. Ginger, and for Pastor Rob. I pray the Lord will continue to give the family comfort and the peace that surpasses all understanding in Christ Jesus. Tell the kiddos high for us! You are in our prayers. Love you in Christ Jesus, Gina, Fibert, Selah, and Symeon Candelaria.
